Partner terms

The agreement between you and Web Lock when you join the partner program. Written to be read.

Who this is between

"We" is Web Lock, made and run by Khokon M. "You" is the person or business that joins the partner program. You join by signing in to the partner portal with your email and agreeing to this page. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and allowed to do business there.

You're an independent business, not our employee or agent. You decide how, where and how much you promote Web Lock. You can't sign anything or make promises in our name.

Your campaigns

A campaign is a link you make in the portal. People who click it, install Web Lock within 30 days and set it up are counted as yours. If someone later sets Web Lock up again through another partner's link, what they buy from then on counts for that partner. What they bought while they were yours stays yours, including every renewal of a subscription that started then.

What you earn

You earn 50% of the profit on each payment made for Web Lock Pro or for a theme by someone who is yours, for as long as they keep paying. The profit is what reaches us after two things are taken off: the payment processor's fee, and the cost of converting the payment into EUR. Your ledger shows both for every sale.

These payments don't earn anything:

  • Your own purchases.
  • Purchases by people who already used Web Lock before any campaign brought them.
  • Purchases by people whose install couldn't be tied to your link with certainty, which happens with old versions of Web Lock.
  • AI credits for the theme maker.

If we change the share, the change only applies to sales made after it.

Discounts

A campaign can give the people it brings up to 40% off Pro, for a number of days after they install. A discounted sale is shared as if it was made at the regular price. The cost of the discount is then taken off: 50% of it from your share and 50% from ours.

While we run an offer of our own, everyone gets that offer's price in place of a campaign's discount, and you earn your full share of what is paid.

Refunds and the hold

An earning is held for 30 days after the sale. If the buyer is refunded, or wins a chargeback, the earning on that payment is taken back: all of it for a full refund, the same part of it for a partial one. If that happens after it was paid out to you, it's taken off what you earn next.

Getting paid

Once at least €25 is past the hold, you can ask for a payout in the portal. We send it by Wise or bank transfer, in EUR, to the details you gave. Payouts are sent by hand, normally within ten working days. Fees your bank or payment service charges for receiving money are yours. Make sure your details are right: we can't recover money sent to details you entered wrongly.

Taxes

What you earn is your income, and reporting it and paying tax on it is up to you. We may ask for information we need to meet our own tax and legal duties before paying you.

What isn't allowed

  • Saying things about Web Lock that aren't true, or promising what it doesn't do.
  • Pretending to be Web Lock, its maker or its support, or making people think your site or account is the official one.
  • Spam: unsolicited email or messages, or posting links where they aren't welcome.
  • Paying or rewarding people to install, fake clicks or installs, or anything else made to inflate your numbers.
  • Buying through your own link, or having others do it for you, to earn on it.
  • Promoting Web Lock next to illegal content, malware, or anything that deceives people into installing it.

Say that you earn from your links wherever the law or the platform you're on asks you to.

If something goes wrong

If we think these terms were broken, we can put your account on hold while we look into it. While it's on hold, nothing is paid out and new sales don't earn. Earnings that came from breaking the terms aren't paid. Everything else you earned still is.

What you see, and what you don't

You see your campaigns' clicks, installs and sales, with each sale's day, country and amounts. You don't get anyone's name or email, and you agree not to try to work out who your buyers are from what the portal shows. What we keep about you is in our privacy policy.

Web Lock itself

You can use Web Lock's name, logo and screenshots to promote it, as long as it's clear you're a partner and not us. We decide what Web Lock does, what it costs and what offers it runs, and those can change. We'll do our best to keep the portal and its numbers working, but we can't promise it will never be down.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: archive your campaigns and write to us to close your account. We can end the program, or your part in it, with 30 days' notice by email, or at once if these terms were broken. When it ends for a reason other than broken terms, everything you earned up to that day is paid once it's past the hold, even if it's under the usual minimum.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you at least 14 days before the change applies. Carrying on after that means you accept it. If you don't, you can end it as above.
